I am a Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) qualified business-to-business (B2B) marketing and communications professional with 13 years’ experience across a range of sectors including management consulting, executive search and legal. I have led the communications and marketing function in two international consulting firms. I have also worked as part of larger comms and marketing teams in other roles.
Business Development, Marketing and Corporate Communications essentially form three points of a triangle. Roles do exist in which each of these functions act quite independently, but this tends to be less common. My own career history has involved ‘moving around the triangle’ across various roles.
After continuous ‘back to back’ employment since graduating from university at the end of the nineties, I left full-time work at the end of 2012 to take up intensive French (15 hours a week at the Institut Francais) whilst working part-time as a freelance marketing consultant.
It is my intention to return to the world of permanent work in due course (and I am receptive to conversations in this respect).
